
Disney’s hit show, Wizards of Waverly Place, won for the second time in the Outstanding Children’s Program category at the 2011-2012 Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards held at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. Live on Saturday, September, 15, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
The enchanted series-whose final episode aired this past January- featured a large Hispanic cast which included Selena Gomez, Maria Canals-Barrera and Jake T. Austin. The show won the same category at the 2009 ceremony.

The major winner of the night, however, was HBO’s Game of Thrones, which took home six awards including those for costumes, make-up and special visual effects.
Actress Kathy Bates -who recently announced she underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with cancer- won the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category for her interpretation of Charlie Harper’s (Charlie Sheen) ghost on Two and a Half Men. She did not attend the ceremony, however.
Jimmy Fallon also took home the trophy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, thanks to his hosting stint on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
