Exclusive! The Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am is hitting the books and is telling Terra.com all about it.
Turns out will.i.am united with inventor Dean Kamen, founder of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), established in 1989 to inspire an appreciation of science and technology in young people.
Every year, FIRST hosts a worldwide science and robotics competition for students in grades K to 12.
This year, will.i.am and The Black Eyed Peas, along with Willow Smith, joined in on the fun by performing at the competition. These amazingperformances along with appearances by celebs such as Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Snoop Dogg are all part of the i.am FIRST: Science Is Rock and Roll TV special.
