Director Tony Scott’s suicide was caught on camera by an onlooker who’s shopping the tape around to various media outlets, reports TMZ.com.
According to the site, various persons and even a surveillance camera from a nearby business captured the tragic moment when Scott jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro, California.
The motive behind Scott’s suicide is still unknown. Authorities also dismissed rumors that the director decided to kill himself because he was suffering from brain cancer.
Chief Coroner Investigator Craig Harvey told New York’s Daily News: “Through a family spokesperson, we have been advised that Mr. Scott did not have brain cancer or (an) inoperable tumor.”
