The long-awaited 'Saturday Night Live' hosted by Sofia Vergara finally aired and the Colombian star knock it out of the park. Here are our favorite moments from the show.
Sofia Vergara: Most Desirable Woman
Clad in a killer tight black dress and pink heels, Sofia opened her hilarious monologue saying she was thrilled to be "hosting la noche del sábado en vivo." Adding, "This country welcomed me with open arms and pulled down pants," as her looks are just impossible to ignore. Much like her accent, which "could make anything sound sexy, gonorrhea, Rick Santorum, New Jersey," she joked.
Later, in the sketch 'Bein' Quirky with Zooey Deschanel,' Sofia became Fran Drescher with puffy hair and leopard print blazer included. The loudmouthstar brought her A game, along with MVP Kristen Wiig who gave an amazing impression of Drew Barrymore.
As a Sex Ed class teacher, Sofia continued milking her accent and arguing with the hilarious Gilly.
We have to admit that whilst our favorite sketch 'Besos & Lágrimas' didn't make it in for her episode, the 'SNL' writers didn't disappoint us. They did bring out 'The Manuel Ortiz Show,' where Sofia sported a blonde wig and showed some leg exaggerating her dance moves to make things even funnier during the intros sequence.
Another favorite moment was seeing her play a special reporter from 'The Hunger Games' who ended up killing everybody, she kept things super loud and hence hilarious in our book. To close things up, Sofia said goodnight --hugging the boys from One Direction who seemed starstruck by her-- and saying "Thank you SNL for having me, I had the best time," but not without forgetting her roots and shouting, "Buenas noches, Colombia!"
Did you tune in to watch the show? What did you think? Were you happy with Sofia's performance?
