All of Katy Perry's fans wanted to be part of her film. The one person that wanted to be cut from the movie was Russell Brand.
Russell Brand Still 'Loves' Katy Perry & Regrets Nothing
The comedian allegedly asked for any footage involving his relationship with Katy be cut from the final edit of Katy Perry: Part Of Me. The producers looked into Brand's request but decided that the film wouldn't flow without having that aspect of their lives on screen.
A source told The Sun that Russell called Katy to see what made the final cut. "When she first decided to make the movie in 2010, Russell agreed to be filmed on the condition he got to see the final edit. Being a fly-on-the-wall documentary, he knew full well that it was going to be warts and all and wasn't best comfortable with that. But Katy persuaded him to do it."
We're glad Katy decided to keep the film personal as it was originally intended. Would you have prefered if Russell's scenes were cut out?
