Lindsay Lohan was arrested outside the Dream Downtown hotel in NYC after leaving the scene of an accident early this morning, a source tells Life & Style.
"She struck a guy in the knee while parking," a source tells Life & Style. "She went inside [the hotel] and partied. When she came out she was arrested."
According to a report, the star was driving her Porsche Cayenne -- at a very low speed -- and was attempting to park near the Dream Downtown hotel when she clipped an unidentified male pedestrian in his 30s just after midnight.
The NYPD had apparently been called to alert them to the situation. When Lindsay emerged about two-and-a-half hours later, the police arrested her outside the hotel.
"She was taken to the 10th precinct and issued a desk appearance ticket [which means she did not have to pay bail before her release]," the source says. "She did not wreck her car."
The victim was hospitalized, but reportedly does not have any visible injuries.
Unfortunately for the 26-year-old Liz and Dick star, this arrest could result in a violation of her probation in Lindsay's jewelry-theft case from 2011. She was ordered to obey all laws and even without a conviction, she could be headed to court if Judge Stephanie Sautner -- the judge in the theft case -- believes she committed a crime.
This isn't the first time Lindsay has been accused of this type of incident. In March, she was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run in Hollywood, but was never prosecuted due to the lack of a credible witness.
