Talk about a much-needed break!
Though Katie Holmes and her daughter, Suri, have been taking NYC by storm lately, Katie decided to head to her hometown of Toledo, Ohio, over the weekend.
The mommy-daughter duo flew commercial from NYC to Detroit, which is about an hour away from Toledo, on the morning of July 21. Multiple eyewitnesses spotted the famous pair.
"She went to Williams-Sonoma and Target," one eyewitness tells Life & Style.
"She went to the mall with Suri," another eyewitness tells Life & Style. "Suri's one of the prettiest little girls!"
And the 6-year-old loved her trip so much, she didn't want to leave!
"Suri really seemed to enjoy her trip," an eyewitness on the same NYC-bound flight as Katie and Suri tells Life & Style. "She even asked her mom, 'Can I stay in Toledo?'"
After spending time with her father, Tom Cruise, on July 18, Suri reunited with her mom the next evening at a gymnastics class at NYC's Chelsea Piers. It was the first time she had seen her dad since Katie filed for divorce on June 28 after five years of marriage.
