This is the 3rd in a series of reality shows focusing on the Riveras (they're starting to turn into the Kardashians; pretty soon they’ll be doing a spinoff from another city).
Anyhow, this series revolves around Chiquis moving out of her momma’s house and learning the ‘hard knocks’ of life after trying to open her own blow dry salon.
We got a sneak peek of the show and must admit, this is miles away from Rivera’s first reality show, ‘Chiquis and Raq-C.’ Not only is the production value higher and the sound better, but heck-it’s actually more entertaining.
I have to visit Chiquis’ ‘Blow Me Dry’ salon in Encino (just a hop, skip and jump away from my casa here in L.A.). During mun2’s recent event at the Television Critics Association convention, Chiquis told me it took her almost a year to open the salon and that she’s been living on her own for several months! Will she be able to bring guys home now? That would make an interesting plotline.
No, Chiquis won’t be working the salon, but we’re sure this season will have some hair-raising experiences courtesy of her clients and best friends (whatever happened to Raq-C?).
