As In Touch reported Wednesday — the magazine on newsstands now — has exclusively obtained the late Robert Kardashian’s handwritten diaries from his widow, Ellen Kardashian, spanning the years 1989 and 1990. Now, In Touch can reveal exclusive photos inside the actual pages from Robert’s heartbreaking account of Kim, Kourtney and Khloé’s childhood with mom Kris Jenner.
The excerpts pictured above show Robert reeling about Kris’ alleged affair with soccer player Todd Waterman. “Todd drove up to the back gate & parked. He went in the house & slept in my bed... Khloé & Robert were in the house,” he writes on Dec 15, 1989.
When Todd wasn’t at the Kardashian household, Kris spent nights and even holidays away from her family. “She doesn’t care!” Robert wrote on the same day. “She left [the] kids & screwed all nite.” Ten days later, his entry was followed by a Christmas day log: “I was home alone with 4 kids.” Robert writes about Christmas 1989. “I put them to bed & played w/them.”
As Kris and Robert’s marriage came to an end, the turmoil was taking its toll. “The girls all resented their mother after Kris and Robert broke up,” a Kardashian insider reveals to In Touch. “They knew that so much of the problems were Kris’ fault. Only years later did Kris stop partying so much and start focusing more on her family.”
After nearly six years of dating, Robert and Ellen Kardashian wed in 2003, two months before he died, and his journals stayed tucked away in a box in Ellen’s Southern California home for years. “There was a lot of friction between the girls and their mother,” Ellen tells In Touch of Kris Jenner .
Although a spokesperson for Kris claims, "We have no knowledge of these diaries existing and these accusations are ridiculous and not true," Ellen verifies the authenticity of these excerpts, telling In Touch: "These are authentic handwritten journals I have shared, that my late husband Robert Kardashian so carefully wrote during 1989 and 1990 at a most trying and touching time of his life. They are my personal possession and left them to me on his passing."
