E! News host, Giuliana Rancic, is having a double mastectomy, since her lumpectomies didn't completely get rid of her breast cancer.

Rancic and her husband Bill made the announcement on this morning's edition of the Today show. Although Giuliana considered having another lumpectomy and radiation, she chose the more drastic option to make sure the cancer is gone. Her doctors say it would also make it less likely to return.

"For me, it was important to get the cancer out...That's what I wanted to do, just get it out," said Rancic.
The couple said the decision to have children also came into play. Apparently the lumpectomy-radiation option would have delayed parenthood for several years.
"At the end, to be honest, all it came down to was just choosing to live, and not looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life," said the host.
Her husband also played a crucial part in her decision: "Bill said to me, 'I just need you around for the next 50 years, kid...I don't care what you look like, I don't care about the physicalportion of this. I just need you around for the next 50 years. So, let's just get you healthy.' And that certainly helped me come to a decision."
Rancic added: "I couldn't be more at peace with the decision. But it's hard, and I still break down some nights...But I'm okay."
