Surrounded by actresses Amy Adams, Marion Cotillard, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Helen Hunt, and Sally Field in a new roundtable interview for the Hollywood Reporter, Anne notes she’s ready to take on a role that they all already have.
“I’m the only one here who’s not a mother,” the Oscar-nominated star says. “I hope to join the ranks soon.”
In fact, it was talking about her own mother, Kathleen, that led her to this revelation. The 30-year-old stars as Fantine in the theatrical version of Les Misérables – a part her mom originated in the first national tour. Anne explains “no one was happier” than the woman who raised her when Anne landed the part — and it was Kathleen who gave her advice.
“It was amazing to have that conversation not with an acting teacher, not with a director, but with your mother,” she continues.
It’s no wonder why Anne is craving to be a mom when she has such a strong bond with her own.
And with supportive Adam Shulman, whom she married on Sept. 29, by her side, it’s safe to say Anne has quite the support system.
“I am very much in love with him,” she’s said about her hubby.
With one of the biggest movies (Les Misérables) of the year hitting theaters in late December, being a newlywed and wanting to start a family, we think 2013 will be one of the most successful years for Anne yet!
